Crook coun…err….Cook county is always pulling some freaking crap, trust me. Trying to keep up with their Tax Collectors office is like trying to catch a lightning bolt with your buttcheeks. However, they’ve got a great website where anyone can check the tax roles for the last…mm…I think three years? I’ve linked it below. I use this site (Which is more of a tax collector office directory online) when assisting customers at work.

Just click on “Public Records online” then click on Illinois, then select cook county and blammo, you’re there. search by address, lot and block number, etc. anyone can look at anyone else’s tax information.

another possibility is that his homeowner’s insurance went up (That, I am afraid, you cannot check) And increase in either of these items would cause an increase in his mortgage payment which he would (If he’s smart) pass along to you. chardok1
