How do real estate people seem to be so safe in showing homes to strangers?

there are actually a substantial amount of cases where these kinds of things have happened some people do carry guns I’m getting my license soon and along with it I will be getting my concealed weapons permit. Joey M

Because when you call to make an appointment the realtor runs your name and does a credit check.
They are not escorted you blind, they know exactly who you are. sassy25

Agents are killed every year in my state. However it is usually by vagrants inside the houses.
I once was viewing a vacant home and opened a closet to a man hiding in there. It was rather scary. Janet P

A smart real estate agent does not show houses to people who have not been pre-approved for a mortgage. The mortgage lender runs their credit and has a complete file on them, and is in contact with their real estate agent regarding their financing situation.
Yes, there have certainly been instances of agents being killed or mugged while showing property, usually to people they don’t know. That’s why many agents refuse to do open houses or to show to a man alone or to anyone they have not met with before. Their real estate office should know where they are going and with whom and when they are expected back. Many agents also have concealed carry permits, and almost all of them carry mace. dog ma

When the drivers license are shown, a person is checked on.
The picture is there.
Reports are checked. Police and etc.
If the license is fake, they will know.
The credit is checked. All kinds of information there.
The salary is verified. They know where the person works. If a fake place is given, they will know.
Their address is checked out.
And I am sure some protection is carried in a purse, ready to grab.
I was browsing in the computer and found places where a person’s telephone number and etc. can be checked for a fee.
