I can't imagine living with the idea that I push an agenda that will kill my country. What they have in common is that you can't argue with them rationally, because conservatives mistakenly believe that liberals do not know better. For example, if an argument is on minimum wage, conservatives argue that it will hurt businesses, cause unemployment, and set a precedence for the government to set prices on commodities. The liberal will act stubborn--whether it is an Air America jock, a senator, or a teacher. But guess what, there is no fact stated by the conservative that the liberals DO NOT WANT. Conservatives think that once the liberal sees that his idea will kill business, he'll say, "Ahh, I never thought of that. For here on out, I will vote republican! Vive Bush!!" Instead, the Liberal is excited because here's a rational person telling him that his actions will do exactly as he hoped--kill capitalism, expand government, make workers think that they are being helped while making them ultimately more helpless and unemployed. Wailing and gnashing of teeth, famine, great depressions, empty bloated bellies...that is the liberal version of Disney world. It is the role of benevolent dictator they want.
