    You have to be prepared to deal with the ups and downs of the market. You also have to be prepared to generate your own business. If you are great with people and well connected in your community and great at marketing yourself, yes this can be a great career.

    You have unlimited earning potential. But, you may also have months where you make NO money. Especially in the beginning.

    Also, a career in Real Estate offers some flexibility. Though you probably won’t make any money working a 9-5 schedule, you know that you can usually set your own hours. But be prepared to give up some evenings and weekends. That’s usually when most people want to look at homes.
