What is the average money a real estate agent makes? and what is a good real estate company?
question asked:
what is the average a real estate agent makes? what is a good real estate company to work for?
Finally, I completed my high school years with enough credits, walked with my class, etc. but did not receive my diploma because I did not pass a portion of my TAAS test. I will take care of it soon. Can I still be a realtor without my diploma or will they need to see it before getting my license or does it not matter?

The amount a real estate agent makes varies depending on the agent and the location. I worked as a Realtor and cleared $6000. one year. As a Realtor you have fees that you have to pay to the Board of Realtors and the MLS. You also have to pay the broker you work for, either a monthly payment or split commission. Some people do really well in real estate but others don’t. You have to treat it as a full time job and really work it to make a good living. You will have to take a real estate course and then take the state exam to get a real estate license. I’m not sure if you have to have your diploma or not. You might find a local course and call and ask. angela

There are 93,000 realty agents in the state of Arizona. The average income is apx $10,000 a year.
The best realty company is the one that is nearest to your home. You will change after you have worked in the business for 6 months as you see where you will do most of your business. You can be an agent without a diploma if you pass the realty test. Ed Atun

You can be a Realtor with no prior prerequisites. The only thing you need to do is enroll in the Realtor class and pass the test and you’ll be rewarded a license.
Being a realtor you can literally control your own destiny. There are realtors out there making $30,000 a year and there a some making millions. It all depends on how bad you want it. How much you know. How much sales skills you have and so forth.
I would suggest you read some books at Barnes and Nobles about Realtors. There are many different job functions they do. And at that point you can always take the class and get the license. Wish you the best of luck. Hope this helps. aaronwilliams123456

The average real estate agent doesn’t make over $20,000/yr. That’s not to say this isn’t a lucrative career, rather that 20% of agents make 80% of the money. With the real estate boom, everyone and their dog was getting their real estate license. Since the majority of them didn’t selling anything, the average income dropped considerably; full time agents that treat this as business can make a comfortable living.
You can be very successful as a real estate agent if you put in the necessary commitment in running your real estate business. Choosing a real estate broker will help tremendously; don’t rush into signing with just any broker. Many brokers will not offer any training or support and their only goal is to recruit you to their office and collect fees. You are brand new; you need training, support and guidance. The broker that stands out about the rest is Keller Williams® Realty. They provide an extensive training program that will teach you the habits of a successful real estate agent. Their only goal is to help you build the business that you want. Visit to see what Keller Williams® has to offer.
Yes, you can be a realtor without a high school diploma. To check license requirements, visit your state’s real estate commission website to see the educational requirements. You can also see these requirements at, along with accredited real estate schools to complete your education. Good luck in your real estate career! BrentMitchell
